Constructor Agreement

1. Overview

This Constructor Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of Klew (“Platform”) as a puzzle constructor. By publishing a puzzle on Klew, you agree to these terms.

2. Content Ownership

You retain full copyright and ownership of all puzzles you create and publish on Klew. By publishing, you grant Klew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to distribute, display, and promote your puzzles on the Platform (including the iOS app and web app at klew.app).

You may unpublish or delete your puzzles at any time. Upon deletion, Klew will remove the puzzle from public listing, though users who previously downloaded it may retain access.

3. Pricing

Klew is currently a free platform for both constructors and solvers. All puzzles are available at no cost. Revenue sharing may be introduced in the future with advance notice to all constructors.

4. Payments

Klew is currently free for both constructors and solvers. If revenue sharing is introduced in the future, payment terms will be communicated in advance.

5. Content Standards

You agree that your published puzzles will not contain:

  • Hate speech, slurs, or content targeting protected groups
  • Explicit sexual content
  • Content that infringes on third-party copyrights or trademarks
  • Plagiarized puzzles (puzzles previously published elsewhere without rights)
  • Deliberately unsolvable or broken grids

First-time constructors’ initial puzzles are subject to review before appearing publicly. Klew reserves the right to remove content that violates these standards.

6. Featured Puzzle Program

Klew may select your puzzle to be featured on the platform. If selected, your puzzle receives additional visibility on the homepage and in the browse feed. Participation is optional.

7. Ratings and Reviews

Solvers may rate and review your puzzles. You may respond to reviews but may not manipulate ratings through fake accounts or coordinated activity.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. You may stop publishing and delete your puzzles. Klew may suspend or remove your account for violations of this Agreement or the Platform’s Terms of Service.

Upon termination, you may delete your puzzles and account data at any time.

9. Changes to This Agreement

Klew may update this Agreement with 30 days’ notice via email. Continued use of the Platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Klew is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any losses due to platform downtime, bugs, or changes in third-party policies.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
